The Maintenance position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and prompting repairs of facilities and mechanical or electrical equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Provide preventive maintenance and prompt repairs on conveyor system, forklifts, HVAC, and any other equipment needed for the warehouse operations to run smoothly
• Oversee outside contractual labor
• Obtain bids for any equipment or special projects

SPECIFIC WORK TASK:

• Monthly maintenance tasks, including oil conveyor
• Quarterly maintenance tasks such as changing AC filters, servicing forklifts, and removing covers and greasing bearings
• Equipment repair and preventive maintenance
• Test sprinkler system
• Oversee outside contractor work
• Repair plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems
• Maintenance and testing of sprinkler systems, fire pump, backflow valve, and alarm systems
• Obtain bids for contract work, materials, or equipment for special projects
• Assist in other job functions as needed
• Work effectively across teams
• Maintain cleanliness of shop and other work areas

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Trade certification highly preferred
• 5 years of relative experience required. Experience in a warehouse setting preferred
• Mechanically inclined
• Ability to read
• Basic computer skills
• Forklift certified
• Ability to operate machinery and equipment
• Knowledge of building
• Knowledge of systems (alarm, sprinkler, conveyor)
• Knowledge of tools required for mechanical repairs
• Knowledge of OSHA guidelines
